Abstract:   (85 Views)
The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of mindfulness education on sleep quality and attitude towards natural childbirth of pregnant women. Research design was semi-experimentala pre-test, post-test, follow-up with the control group. The statistical population of this study included all pregnant women referred to Milad Hospital in Tehran during the year 2021. The sample consisted of 30 pregnant women who were randomly selected and randomly divided into two groups of 15. Selection of the sample group was purposeful and placement of them in two groups randomly. After performing the pre-test, the experimental group participated in 8 sessions of Mindfulness training and the control group did not receive any intervention. At the end, in both groups, the post-test was performed and after two months of follow-up. The research instruments included the Apoplex sleepiness scale (1991) and Harman natural childbirth attitude questionnaire (1988). The data were analyzed after confirmation of statistical assumptions by repeated measures of variance analysis. The results of data analysis confirmed the effect of mindfulness training on improving the quality of sleep and attitude towards natural childbirth in pregnant women (p <0.05). Also, the difference between post-test and follow-up stages was not significant, indicating that the effect of education was on the follow-up period (p> 0.05).
