Abstract:   (103 Views)
Background: The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of cognitive therapy based on mindfulness with logo therapy on perceived stress and quality of life of mothers with hyperactive children. Research method: The research method was semi-experimental with a pre-test-post-test design and follow-up with a control group. The statistical population of the research was made up of all the mothers of hyperactive children in Tabriz city who referred to private counseling centers in Tabriz city in 1401. 45 people were selected and randomly divided into three groups using the purposeful sampling method (15 people in each group). The experimental groups received treatment specific to their group in 8 sessions of 1.5 hours. But the control group did not receive treatment. The measuring tools were Cohen's perceived stress (1984) and quality of life (sf-36) (1984) questionnaires. The data were analyzed by analysis of variance with repeated measures and Bonferroni's post hoc test. Findings: In the pre-test, there was no significant difference between the mean and standard deviation of perceived stress score and quality of life in the experimental and control groups (p>0.05). Both treatments decreased and increased mothers' perceived stress and quality of life in the post-test, respectively (p<0.001) compared to the group. In the follow-up phase, the effect of these two treatments was permanent (p<0.001). The effects of treatments on perceived stress and quality of life were the same in the post-test and follow-up phases (p>0.05). Discussion: It seems that these two treatments can be used as an effective way to reduce perceived stress and increase the quality of life of mothers of hyperactive children by increasing the acceptance of life conditions and consciously facing them.
