The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effect of cognitive flexibility on mental well-being through the mediation of wisdom in the second-year high school students of Paveh city. The statistical population of this research includes all students of the second secondary level of Paveh city in the academic year of 1402-1401. The number of sample members is considered to be 220 people who were selected using available sampling method. The main data of this research was obtained by using the scale of psychological flexibility of Dennis and Vanderwal (2010), psychological well-being questionnaire-short form (1989) and Ardelet's intelligence questionnaire (200). Descriptive statistics and inferential statistics (Pearson correlation and structural equation modeling) were used in data analysis. The results showed that psychological flexibility has a positive and significant effect on mental well-being. Also, cognitive flexibility has a positive and significant effect on wisdom. Likewise, wisdom had a positive and significant effect on mental well-being. The results of the research indicated that cognitive flexibility had an effect on mental well-being through the mediation of wisdom in second year high school students of Paveh city.
